Just making sure I'm not making any mistakes. This is an older system from brs should be the 75 GPD 5 stage. I added a 2 stage spectra pure di to it plus 1 more stage. Also, the line is split for drinking water. I purchased new filters except the membrane which is about a year old. It probably needs to be replaced. Also worried that it might be too much...

Stage 1: sediment. stage 2: 5 micron carbon. stage 3: .5 micron carbon. stage 4: membrane stage 5: chlormmine remover carbon. after this my system splits to the drinking water to another drinking water carbon to a 3g pressure tank. Then to the the 2 stage di.

So the systems seems to have plenty of pressure and is making plenty of water.

The raw input water is around 200 TDs. After the ro stages, it drops to 8. After the first di stage its 0 before even entering stage 2.

Is this over kill? I read somewhere the rejection rate should be around 99% TDS. If this is true, does that mean my membrane should be replaced? I'm roughly at the low 90's..

Anyone see any issues with the system. Thanks

Depending on my utilities department and how often they flush they hydrants in my area my TDS on my incoming raw water can range from 200 to 350. I'm always around 3 to 9 TDS after the RO stage. As long as it's 0 once it hits the storage can it's good.

Question, I don’t mean to highjack your thread. I always seem to overflow my brute can. If I put a float switch on the RODI system would the back pressure mess up the membrane or any of the other filters?

Should be good. Do you have the auto shut off on your ro/di unit. The one that shuts off the waste line?

I believe most RO units (including BRS) have a mechanism in place to shut off the unit when the float valve is triggered. In the picture above I think its there, partially obscured by the BRS RO membrane buts its the little white valve with the red tube coming out above the BRS logo.

Search for "Auto Shut off Kit" from BRS.
