just got a brs 200gpd
Tds going in 142
Coming out of ro 21
Coming out of di 0 but after 45 gallons now getting 1-2 and color change already
I also got the booster pump and only get 70 lbs of pressure
I figure my rejection rate is off now what do I do
Wel water 0 iorn
Ph 6.4
3grains of hardness and 77 degrees F
and need help please

1 - 2 after the first 45 gallons... :(

My booster hits 90 psi and not sure another piggy back membrane would help.

Maybe some other pre-filtration, but tagging along.

Did the RO membrane seat properly? Did you flush the membrane and dump the water for the first hour? Do you have a flush valve to flush membrane? Your rejection rate should be somewhere around 98% so at 142 in you should be around 4 after the membrane before the DI. If you are on a well, you might have a high co2 and that kills resin fast.

Yeah,
I run a new RO membrane without the DI in until the RO's output is down to 2.
That way you don't waste your resin.

Yes , I did all the following but how do I increase the rejection rate ? It's 2 100 gpd membranes do I need more pressure than 70 ?

My built in booster hits 90 psi, but that unit is built to handle it.

You might want BRS's guidance.

Are the membranes seated in their housings properly? I'd start with that first. Then when you first ran the unit did you flush the carbon blocks and let them dump before they went into the RO membrane? A lot of times the carbon dust will get into the RO membrane and create problems. When I change any part of my system, everything that is behind it gets removed or bypassed. So if I change both carbon blocks I pull the line off so it does not go to my membrane and I also leave the second canister where the second carbon filter goes empty and flush it until it runs clear. Then I add the second carbon filter in and flush it again. Then I hook everything back up. It's a pain but a little prep work before helps keep things clean for the long haul.

no i did not flush the unit from carbon dust
