I'm seeing the benefits of a RO/DI unit after lugging many gallons of water into my basement apartment... Any suggestions for a RO/DI unit that I canhook up to my kitchen sink... plumbing it's own line is not a possibility for me.

Looking forward to responses,
Corinne

Yeah lugging jugs of water is a pain. They are rodi units that come with a tank and faucets that you can run up through your sink. You can find deals on ebay on them that are very affordable. Many even come with filters. If you don't have a hole in the top of your sinkl for the faucet, you can swap it out with your sprayer maybe. Or drill a new hole. The ebay rodis are pretty cheap. Not top of the line, but I'm sure they get the job done.

most of the units come with a faucet adapter. I use a Y connector on the faucet so I don't have to un screw the adapted.

Using a Y on your washer is another option if you've got a washing machine.

Should be able to pick up an John Guest faucet adapter...

That's awesome! Thank you trex. I'm so confused about all the different RO/DI units around. How do I know i'm selecting the right one? I have a 65 gallon tank. = \

Sure thing --- I have been using it that way for at least a decade now. Just remember when you are filling up a container (( I use a 5 gallon one )), to set a timer/alarm to remind you when it is just about full. For me, when my water pressure and RO membrane, that is about 2 hours.

I would get a 4 stage one (( assuming normal tap TDS, below 250 )), that is rated for 75 GPD, and that the RO membrane is the Dow Filmtec Membrane, which will give you a better rejection rate, which will prolong the life of your DI resin.

I bought the coralife 3 stage 50GPD unit. Does 0TDS for about 6 months then gotta replace the carts
