I agree the life of the membrane will not last as long in this setup but if the goal is to save some water, this is an option. I have seen other distributors sell dual membrane systems, spectrapure as an example.

They all sell dual mbrane systems but none promotes it as a waste saving system, only increased gpd. I have owned one myself and it does about double the production but the waste should remain the same or slightly higher or your cost of ownership goes up significantly.

i bought a water fountain for the patio and i use the waste water for that and the flowers. makes my wife happy and reuses the water.
