I used to always buy my salt & fresh from the store that helped set up my tank. I quickly realized that I am throwing $ away in gas to get there and using only there water. I love the hobby but im not gonna waste $ if I dont have to. I ordered my ro/di off of ebay and got it for $110 which is a great price and it has already saved me more than that much $ in mixing my own water. All I can say is spend the extra $ up front and get the ro/di which will promote piece of mind for your reef.
