Anyone use something like an "Air Gun" to rinse test vials and such with RO/DI water? I have my RODI unit by the laundry sink, plumbed with PEX to the tank area. I can easily tap into it near the sink with a rinse nozzle. I would put a ball valve before it as a safety, only turn it on when I was using the rinse gun. Something like this:

Do you get enough pressure from your RODI to run something like that?

I don't really think pressure would matter, at least for what I want. I have air guns on my air compressor and they work, even at 10PSI, they just don't spray air like crazy. That said yes I have a booster on my RODI to 85PSI. Can the pump maintain 85PSI with the gun open full, probably not. I can get a nice stream from a 1/4" line, so if the gun chokes that down a bit it might have a little more spraying force to it. I really just want a more convenient way to dispense a little water to rinse test vials and things like that. A ball valve on a 1/4" line works, but it's kind of hard to operate the ball valve with one hand while holding the vial in the other hand. My biggest concern would something inside the air gun rusting. I suppose that probably isn't that big of a deal even if it does. It's not like copious amounts of rust would be feeding into my top off water or salt mix (they wouldn't be inline with this). I wouldn't leave it pressurized either, so leaking isn't a concern. Open Ball valve, use gun to rinse, shut ball and done. I might as well try it for $15. If someone else has tried something like this I'd like to know it worked or what brand you used. I'll give it a try and report back
