Hi, I am currently unable to afford an RODI filter and no local fish stores offer RODI water to buy. I plan on using DI water or RO water which I can buy separately. Does anybody know which type is better for a saltwater tank? Or is there anyway I can “combine” the two? I know this probably sounds silly :((
Thanks guys!

RO water- reverse osmosis water, will contain a bit of stuff that isn't just "water", or Total Dissolved Solids: TDS. RO water will usually contain anywhere from 5-15 ish ppm TDS depending how good the system is and a few other factors.

DI water is (usually) RO water that has passed through Deionization resin to remove those last few PPM of TDS , making it as close to completely pure as you can get. To me, RO/DI is worth it, but if you aren't getting it at an LFS I'm wondering how expensive it would be for you.
