Ro/di ?

It's not so much the number of stages, but more important is to get a quality membrane that gets a minimum of 98% rejection. As Jon above shows, a four stage will do it. If I'm counting the stages correctly, I run five.... Sediment, 2 carbon blocks, membrane and DI.

ok thanks everyone would the brs 4 stage or 4 stage plus be considered a quality system with there filters?

The BRS systems are quality and use top of the line Dow Filmtec membranes, the 75gpd being the most efficient at a 98+% rejection ratio. Go with the 75 gpd 4 stage value for $150, then add a pressure gauge and triple inline TDS meter so that you can monitor your TDS levels from the tap, post RO and post DI. The only reason I don’t like the plus is that it only comes with a dual TDS meter. If you wait a few weeks, Black Friday deals are right around the corner and BRS heavily discounts their proprietaty branded RODI systems.

The only reason I would not recommend the Aquaticlife RO “buddie” style system is with your relatively high TDS, you will be ripping through those proprietary “buddis” style prefilter and DI cartridges at a very fast rate. Stick with the standard vertical cylinder canister style RODI systems.
