I found these at home depot for cheap does anybody know if I can use this in my R.O unit as the D.I filter it look almost just like the D.I I use normally has the same blue resin and all so let me know what you all think thanks in advance Rob

looks more like a carbon filter to me.. note the first pic.. reduces chlorine taste and odor...
 
That is granular activated carbon and has no place in a reef quality RO/DI ssystem. You should be using a solid carbon block of no more than 1 micron size rating.
You will not find reef quality filters at a department or hardware store, they are higher quality than drinking water filters thus more expensive.
