This skimmer is a few months old. I thought it was just breaking in but the popcorn sounds has not diminished. I have checked the pump impellor, made sure the the pump was seated correctly. Nothing is loose. I just don't understand where this popcorn sound is coming from. I checked the silencer. Hooked it up to my CO2 reactor. Hook it up to both CO2 reactor and silencer. Nothing helps. Anybody have any idea where this sound is coming from and/or how to stop it. I searched the forums and found a few old posts but no resolution was reached in any of them.

for being a 800$ skimmer, I’d be on the phone with coralvue! Seems like it’s a DC pump, should be virtually silent. Possible defect?
I ran the pump by itself. It is silent. Its something like in the mixing chamber. I think its echoing the air mixing within itself and the sound is traveling thru the wedge pipe. If I turn the pump down the noise stops... but then there's no foam production. Coralvue service can be hit or miss with their resolutions but I think I'm gonna have to try my luck with them.
