Anyone know at what temp rodi water freezes? I've been waiting for a break in the cold to let it run to refill the 2- 55 gallon drums. Just don't want to wake up to a plugged waste line, or worse have it split long enough to be back inside the house. There is about 5-8' run outside, I know there is a good flow going through it but still a little cautious

Only DI would be closer to 32 degrees Fahrenheit

The more dissolved minerals are in water the lower the freezing point and higher the boiling point.

Edit: had a typo I needed to fix!

At sea level, 32 degrees fahrenheit....0 degrees celcius.....273 degrees kelvin.

Lol I guess that was a dumb question. Yeah it would be at 32. Guess I was more looking for almost a flash freezing point. If it drops to 10 tonite just don't want the line freezing. At about 28 I think the flow would be enough to keep it clear.

Oh boy! Now we are getting real complicated. We're talking flow rates, pressures, thermal mass.....my head hurts....wait til it gets warmer!

[h=3]Heat is lost by either or a combination of radiation, conduction or convection to areas of less heat. The quicker that transfer, the quicker freezing will occur. [/h]
Depends on if the lines are insulated or not...? I would say a standard rodi unit with non-insulated lines would freeze even at 28.
