I was reading a thread the other day about putting your booster just before the membrane as opposed to the sediment filters. I decided to give it a try for no particular reason. I put the inline pressure gauge on the out side of the pump just before the membrane input and when I turn the pump on it bounces like crazy and makes a clangy hollow sound.

Its a vertex booster if it means anything. Not sure if this is normal or what. Before when the pump was first in line the gauge read steady at on or off. I dont think its affecting the performance of the pump or the membrane. Just not allowing the gauge to read right.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

You need a liquid filled gauge to dampen the shock on the bordon tube and needle.
