Any thoughts on using just RO water for a FOWLR tank. Final TDS is 10 from 250 ish. I do plan to add coral about a year down the road...

Reason is I have high a complicated issue with DI resin depleting really fast.

Mind sharing more about your RODI system as well as your source water?

It's hard to really judge whether it would be fine or not long term as we don't really know what's in that 10 TDS you're letting into the tank. LOTS of FOWLR setups run on even just dechlorinated tap water so it's certainly doable. But adding coral down the road you might have real issues....

Yes shouldnt be a problem for just fish

RO system has three sediment filters (5, 1, and 0.5 micron), three carbon filters (1,1, and 0.5 micron), dual membrane run parallel with booster pump running at 90 psi. Reason for all the prefilters is because of very high fine sediment and iron particulates.

Source water is from community wells with high iron and CO2. Never tested it for phosphate or other contaminants but area has a lot of past and present runoff from farms and other industry.

Starting TDS is 250 and final TDS is 10 coming out of the membranes.
