Hello, I'm starting this thread to track the growth of my RO rising sun chalice.....I got a small frag from Troylee (thanks Troylee) many months back and it hasn't grown much at all for me.....that said, I figured it would be nice to track its growth over time.

cheers,
Darren

Would like to see a daylight picture...

Easier said than done....this coral is tiny in the field of view of my camera so it typically turns out as an orange blob when I try to take a picture of it (my lens just doesn't have the magnification for where it is in my tank).....I got this shot when taking a pic of another coral beside it and it just so happen to give a decent pic of the rising sun.....that said, I'll try sometime to get a daylight shot of this guy (typically I try to take a flash and non-flash shot for corals if you see some of my other posts).....

cheers,
Darren

YEa this piece did not grow for me over a 4-5 months period.. its weird cause it does eat plenty.. i wonder where the food goes.. =)

Mine is exactly the same.....it eats all the time, but doesn't seem to grow at all.......I wonder if it will take off once it gets larger, but from the looks of other peoples frags it doesn't seem to grow much either......

maybe it tricks us and spits when we leave the room. Hahahahha

Darren, mine has actually grown very well for me since getting it as a very small frag. Its gone from 1/4" to 3/4" in about 3 months. I am keeping it in bright, but indirect light and feeding it every other night. I would post pics but I dont want to hijack. Good luck with it!!
