I have a RO system for drinking water under the sink and recently I noted the water tastes funny lately. It got so bad that I can tell it is almost like faucet water. It's funny because my ro/di system is dead zero as I test every single time I make water for the fish but I don't bother checking my drinking water :-)

I measure the water and the TDS is like 258. My input water 380..... I replaced the sediment a while ago so all the filters are in need for a replacement. However, if the membrane is working, the TDS can't be that hi regarding the 98% rejection rate.....

I think the membrane (2+ years old) is gone. Am I right?

Thanks

Not necessarily the amount of water per se, it is recommended to change them every year at best..
Your source water might be kinda gnarly too, causing them to expire prematurely..
