Hey,
I've been wanting to set up a nano reef for a while now, and been buying the needed equipment little by little. I've been looking into RO\DI systems locally and haven't found much luck regarding one that's both affordable and trustworthy. Even though the tank is a puny 8 gallon, I still want to try and make it work. I'm fully aware that bigger tanks are much easier to maintain since they're much more stable and forgiving. Sadly, I'm limited by space and my budget isn't infinite, so I'm looking for a nice nano with some LPS corals and a snail, nothing more. Point is, I'm looking to buy a RO\DI system from ebay, any suggestions? I obviously want one that'll get the TDS to 0, since most of the systems sold locally claim to get the water to 50 ppm or so. I have no experience using these systems whatsoever, so any advice\shared experiences are highly appreciated.
I'm limited to Ebay since most stores from the states\UK don't ship internationally.

It all depends on what is in your water to begin with. I have low TDS from the tap and my city does not use chlorine nor chloramines to treat the water, so I use a 4 stage. You need to find out if you have chlorine or chloramines first. See if you can get a water test report.

I honestly think that the "brandless" RODI systems might be a bit sketchy? With the high chlorine/chloramine, I'd go with a double carbon block system. I also made a spreadsheet of some of the more common RODI units available, although I'm unsure if they ship to Israel or not.
