That is not an RO system. It uses some sort of cartridge instead of a reverse osmosis membrane and its only good for up to 650 gallons before it needs replacing. I would imagine. like most proprietary treatment systems it will be very expensive compared to RO or RO/DI.

Are you looking for RO only or do you also want RO/DI for a reef tank? RO only drinking water systems are relatively inexpensive and a good reef quality RO/DI which serves dual purpose can be had for around $200-$300 complete.

Ok so let me ask. When I'm making my water throw the RO/DI how much water is wasted do you think? I guess what I'm trying to ask is. I keep reading about the amount of water wasted during the RO process and I don't want to be wasting all that water! Or would it different if I had it going into a lager vat vs a tank?

Between 3 and 4 gallons of waste to each gallon of RO/DI.. You can do laundry, water plants or your yard. If you look at the water if it goes down the drain it will go back to the treatment plant and be recycled. The cost you pay for water is not a lot I'm assuming. This is something we have all thought about at one time or anther. Where I like it gets dang cold and I did want to have to making it to the fish sore to buy there water. So I started with an RO unit and have no regrets. When I make it I fill my washer so some gets used there I also water plants and the garden in the summer.

It your choice, but there is no way around waste water.

Membranes must be flushed, there is no getting around that but the water does not have to be wasted, even if it goes to the sanitary sewer it gets recycled.
The average RO system is a 4:1 or 4 gallons waste or brine to 1 gallon of permeate or treated water system. Thats not a sbad as it sounds thugh, if you make 100 gallons a month you send 400 to the drain and the average water costs are aroung $3.00 per thousand gallons so you have paid $1.50 for a months usage. The 400 gallons goes to recharge the water table or be recycled and water golf courses or green belts. I don't recommend filling your washer since they only hold a few gallons and making even 3 gallons of RO/DI produces 12+/- gallons of waste and floods the laundry room. If anything run it out on the lawn or garden using an air gap to make sure you don't have any cross connections or backflow incidents.

I got RSM 130d 34 gallon tank.
I'm looking at RO systems.
I'm thinking 75 gpd is good but now there are different stages which I know nothing about.
In need of some help here.

Here is a good explaination of each filter and what it does.
At a minimum you need 4 stages or fiters with a reef quality RO/DI, a sediment filter, a carbon block, the RO membrane and the DI filter.
Maximize Performance - Minimize Cost

They have systems on sale starting at around $130 and you can buy directly from them or may save money buying their systems through laces like Marine Depot or Premium Aquatics which may have free shipping plus sale pricing.
