I’m looking at getting a reef octopus T90. Just looking for some feedback. Would one AI hydra 26HD be enough light? Or would I need a 52?

With the width of the tank about 36" I would say neither would be a good choice especially if you intend to do corals that require higher light. The 52HD at 30" 24" deep only produces about 30 par at 36" next to nothing. A better route IMHO would be to go with 2 primes. much better even coverage for a tank your size.
