did you make sure the bypass to flush the Membrane is closed? if not you will get a lot of waste water and very little RO water.

Today I measured all parameters. Water inlet 61F. Waste production 850mls per minute.
Product 75mls per minute.
Based on the 52psi, and the temperature I should be getting about 50 gallons a day. I'm getting 25 gallons a day.
Inlet TDs 54, ro out 0.00.
Something is not right. Have a support message into spectra pure.
Tom

Your TDS before going in the DI resin is 54?
Thats way to high. Ro Membrane has 95%-98% rejection rate. So that makes your tap = 900 TDS.
Are you using well water?
You will burned through your DI resin.

BTW you didn't say what stages is your DI resin.
I would think its 4 stage
You might need to add more.
And a booster pump

Hi,
I replaced the flow restrictor with the one with less restriction and it now outputs 85ml per minute. No real change.

Btw, this is the unit with the automatic bypass. Perhaps something is not right with the unit?

Well upon talking with Spectra pure, I mentioned that the unit has the automatic flush. They said they haven't made that unit in 3 years. If the membrane has been sitting there for 3 years it is dried up. Sure enough, the date on the membrane is March 2017.
So contacted Amazon vendor and asked for a partial refund to cover the cost of the replacement. I would hate to have to return the whole wet unit.

The vendor (Critter Cove Pet Supplies) refuses to refund the cost of a new membrane. They say it has no shelf life when a simple google search will show it is from 1 to 2 years when sealed. Not to mention the fact that Spectrapure themselves have told me it is expired.
I am hoping that if Spectrapure cannot get this company to come clean they will give me a credit for future purchases.

TDS on input (from the wall) is 54. It is a 4 stage.
The membrane is expired.
