RO unit issue

My RODI unit recently started doing this thing where it will repeatedly turn on for a second and the pressure indicator bounces and then stops for another second or two. Here is a video.

Not sure. Bumping this. Is is still making water while this happens? Could it be as simple as a bad gauge?

I can only guess....thinking the bladder in the 3 gallon storage tank is the problem. Let's see if Russ @Buckeye Hydro has an idea?

Yes, it is still making refuse water but the valves are closed on the product side when this occurs. I also isolated the drinking water tank from the system and it continues to do it. The only way to stop this it seems is to turn off the supply. I’m really thinking that it’s the auto shutoff valve.

No booster pump but there is a tank shutoff which I have tried closing to isolate the tank. That does not resolve the issue.

It seems like your auto shut off is going bad and not stopping the waste water completely when your tanks are full

You probably have a bad check valve. Somewhere between the permeate port on the RO membrane housing and the ASOV, you have a check valve.

I have to thank you because this advice was right on point. I swapped out the 90degree check valve on the permeate port and it fixed the issue. Thanks!
