I need an RO unit for my freshwater and saltwater tank. The one i have currenly is closed system and only takes closed cartidges that cost a lot of money per filter to cha ge over 100$ so time for a new unit. I need something with a booster pump.

a Watts Premier. It is zero waste. Has a booster pump. Cartridges are available on Amazon, as well as RO unit itself. You would have to get your own DI filter. They are available on Amazon as well, along with replacement resin. All my stuff was bought on Amazon. I used those fittings to install it, so I can shut off water to it when not in use

All depends on what is in your source water. If you have chloramines, you need a 5 stage with 2 carbon blocks minimum.

If your source water is pretty clean, a 4 stage unit will work.

I prefer BRS units myself. Used them for years with great results and great service.

That's just RO with no DI and proprietary cartridges. I don't see any rejection rates or data with that unit either. For drinking water purposes it can still spit out quite a bit of TDS. At 600gpd, I'd suspect the rejection rate isn't even 80%.

I added a DI for it. And its 0 tds used it for a while pretty good. Just cant afford their expensive cartidge anymore. Thats why im seeing whats that 600 gpd means? As i cant find 600 gpd ro unit. And do i even need that much?

600gpd is gallons per day. You don't need that unless you're a store giving out RO water. 75gpd is almost always enough.

Is that means its going to be slow with a booster pump for 75 gallons per day? Or whats that means?
