mfinn, "a little dab il do ya" Coral glue that is so it doesn't move again.

I use the float valve on my RO/DI storage and after its full I shut the unit off with a manual shut off.

How old are the membranes?

Years. No idea how many. They're not new that's for sure.

After looking closer at my float switch, the adjustment wing nut has loosened and allowed the float part to move higher which requires more pressure to make it close.
So after moving it to the correct position and tightening the wing nut and testing it 5-6 times, I'm staying with it.
It's about 8 years old.
Oh nice. I might look at mine tomorrow. I did have a play with it today to turn it off and on during my testing but I'll have a closer look tomorrow.

I would replace the membranes if they are that old probably wasting lots of water
Yeah I might order some fresh ones.

I might need a bigger reservoir. Mine is 20l (5g) and only lasts a few days.

Definitely a bigger reservoir needed, this will also help extend membrane life.
The bigger the better in terms of getting good water from the RO.
