Hey guys,
I have a great source of RO water from a very rubust commercial unit but it’s not DI. I was hoping someone might be willing to educate me and hopefully others on the potential risks of using this in my tank and what it could affect? Thanks in advance.

It totally depends on their source water and their system. You would have to get a sample tested to really know.

Thanks. I’m fairly uneducated on what to look for in the testing and I think that might help me. I did test tds .016. Alk. 4. Ph 5.0. But I don’t know what to look for for it to be good or bad.

You are not going to be able to test for a lot of the things at home. The RO should remove a most of the things we are worried about. Ideally you want zero TDS. You could run that water through DI resin to reach zero.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
