Hello!

I started a new tank and I've been buying RO water from a store. The problem is that the store is quite far away and it's not too practical to carry all this water all the time and I don't want to use tap water (some people say it's ok as long as you remove the chlorine, but I don't want to risk).

So, I thought about buying a RO kit from a store. The problem is that I live in an apartment and I have no access to a hose faucet (even the ones for the dishwasher and washing machine are hidden behind the machines and impossible to reach) and I can't make modifications to the tubes and so.

Is there a way to connect the kit to the bath faucet? I have something like the attached picture. It has an aerator (?) that I can easily remove.
How do you connect your kits?

Thanks and have a great day! :)

oh, this is perfect! thank you guys! :)
I was afraid of spending the money and then not be able to use the RO kit.

btw: in terms of brands and so, they're all the same, right? I don't need something very fancy (my tank is small..only 20 gallon/75 liters), so my WC will be small as well.

I bought the Aquatic Life RO Buddy system off of Amazon. It's a 4 stage. I'm not really all that happy with it either. The resin canister already needs replacing after only running less than 100 gallons through it. Had I known that, I'd have chosen a better, more expensive brand. Eh, live and learn.

The twist-in RODI system is a real blessing for someone like me - a small woman with very little muscle power.
I struggled for years with the standard 5 stage system. After my BRS DI resin unit refused to open (even my husband tried to no avail), I decided that I had to make a change, hence the Aquatic Life twist-in system.

As for the cartridge life, my sediment and carbon block gave out within 6 months (Aquatic Life indicates they should last 6 months). The water output after 6 months read 75 ppm :( This is a big disappointment. I probably should have changed out sediment and carbon cartridges after 3 months like I used to do with my old 5 stage RODI system.

With my standard 5 stage RODI system, I changed out my sediment and carbon block filters every 3 months without fail and my RO membrane lasted for over 5 years. My tap TDS is about 120 and has no chloramine. Before I started my 3 month replacement regimen, I changed prefilters every 6 months and ended up with higher than desirable TDS readings in one year, forcing me to change RO membrane.

So hopefully I can extend the life of a twist-in RO membrane by changing out the pre filters every 3 months and flushing the membrane after every use or every two to three times.
