Hi friends

So I bought this tunze osmolator nano 3152 to automate my water topup and it's working great so far. I also bought a 5 stage DI unit and from that i filled my 27L Tunze container - https://www.freshnmarine.com/products/tunze-storage-container-27l

Now, I'm reading a lot of mixed reviews and it;s kinda confusing thats why wanted to clear this doubt.. How long can i store my RO topup water?

- it's not anywhere near direct sun light
- I'm using Tunze container, so it's well covered and nothing can go inside

My question :

1) should i seal the container tap with some air tight sealing method?
2) Do i need to re-check the water quality / TDS etc after sometime?

Please share your experience guys :) my 27L container RO water i think it can last for like 1 month because the auto topup amount is very little.

Thanks

tds can creep up a little, but if the container is covered then i wouldn’t worry about it.

maybe check it once a week to verify. your mileage will vary depending on any air pollutants where it’s stored.

Thank you :) do you guys clean your RO container? like once a month or something?

When you first turn on your rodi you should let the first few minutes of product go down the drain. After 5-10 minutes the unit gets pressurized and starts to function as should. The first few minutes can be dirtier than straight tap.
So if you have a float or some other auto fill of the reservoir, than that dirty start up goes in. If you take smaller more frequent amounts out of reservoir, than it goes on and off more and it gets dirty, faster. You should also tap/take water from reservoir bottom so any solids don’t build up on bottom

Put in a tee between the membrane and the DI and drain from there. This way the dirty water doesn't go to your DI and your DI may last a little longer.

Have a flush valve installed. And let the reservoir go down close to empty before refilling

I make 60-80g of top off water at a time. No worries about long term storage.

I do recommend covering it to keep TDS from creeping up, but keep in mind that all the dust and particles in the air are still landing in the tank too.. so as long as it was 0TDS out of the RODI, then I have 0 concern about it going in the tank.
