what containers do you use to store your ro water in? Suggestions.

I'm asking because at Lowes last night the helpful intelligent observant employee told me that the trash bins may leach chemicals into your water. He also stated,"your saltwater tank would not like this". Never once did I tell him I was using this for saltwater.

I use a brute can when I do big water changes, otherwise it’s just a 5 gallon bucket. But I don’t “store” the water for much more than a day

in think someone just found a potential new reefing friend ;)

I use Rubbermaid Brute cans. apparently they are food grade.

i now have 3x 32G brutes on standby with water at all times in the basement. 2x RODI and 1x mixed salt and carry a 5G bucket up 2 flights of stairs every Sunday (fun times)

Brute user here. I cured/cycled about 80 lbs of rock in one for 7 or so months and haven’t noticed any issues now that they are in my tank. I don’t store large amounts of water, only 5g in a clear container I got from the lfs
