I know I know - get your own RO/DI setup. I plan on getting one in the future. But in the meantime, if you had to choose between LFS or grocery store RO water which do you trust more?

Out of the two LFS I've been to - one is clearly much cleaner than the other. Their tanks look to be well cared for.

I don't have a TDS meter and my list of things to purchase is far too long leaving a TDS meter low on the list. So I have to go with my gut on this one.

LFS over grocery store. Clean LFS over Dirty LFS

You can get a t d s meter online pretty cheap I've used mine at grocery store to check their water in past.lfs should be very good if they want repeat customers. But best advise is this as much time and money we put into our tanks a ro/di unit should be the first bit of equipment we should buy.

If the LFS will test the TDS or conductivity of the RO/DI water in your presence then I would say LFS. If not then use bottled distilled water from the grocery store shelf, not a vending machine which may or may not be maintained since they do not have to meet any healtch codes.
