Anyone use Roadie delivery?
Was looking at shipping prices overnight and decided for the heck of it to look at same day delivery and stumbled on Roadie. 5 dollar difference between overnight usps or sameday Roadie

I don't know might be worth it just hoping someone had experience using them

Kind of like uber in a way. People can grab the gig (that is what they call the job)
You basically schedule your delivery terms and it generates a cost. People can bid to take the job. Now I guess the driver can bid more but that is somewhat frowned upon from what I read
Anyways have a delivery scheduled pickup after 7:30am tomorrow and deliver by 11:am 87 miles for $31.00. I have never shipped before so for same day delivery at that cost I am happy to pay the extra few dollars over shipping overnight.
Texted the driver a few minutes ago just to confirm we are still on.

Drivers are just like you and I who happen to be going in the direction you want your package to go and it helps cover gas costs, maybe a little food, but not to be relied on as a full time job.

Will let people know how it works out.

Well driver confirmed with me yesterday he would pick up this morning.
Driver arrived at scheduled time to pick up coral and is on way to drop it off.
So far very positive

delivery went smooth and driver was 30 minutes early
He made contact with the receiver and myself once onsite.
You are provided a code to give them upon delivery "this is sent in text or email to you"
Overall very happy. Just depends on if you have people who are drivers in your area. Something I would say is worth while check
