Anyone else have one that goes back & forth? This one comes out for most of the day, then in the evening ducks under the overhang in the evening totally dissappearing. It's done that for about 3 weeks now.

Yes anemones can move but be aware yours is bleached out. Give it time to color back up which can take a while. Once it is happy again they tend to stay put.

It has a little more color than you see in the picture. It's a pale peach & it was that color from the store. But it's funny how it comes out like a gopher

A healthy BTA is a green/brown or red/brown color. Yours is definitely bleached out and in need of some TLC to get it back on the right track. Either the store you bought it from or you don't have it under the right lighting.

A roaming anemone is an unhappy anemone.

At night the tend to close up like that. Most shrink up as part of the nightly process in aquariums. So if they are near a ledge and stick out it appears they disappear a bit. Totally normal.

As for color.. have patience and stable water it will color up a lot lot more. I find the red ones more hardy while green bleach out more easily and take more time to come back to full color.

Is it roaming around the tank, or just shrinking back at night but staying in the same location? It’s normal for a BTA to retract a bit as the lights go out.

I agree that anemone looks like it needs some TLC. If you want any advice, feel free to share some information on your setup and lighting. If you are sure all else is good, time and stability will get you there...

Here is a pic of my BTA’s to show the color saturation you want to start seeing

they will until they find their happy spot. They like moderate light and if too bright will go somewhere shady.

It doesn't roam, just goes under the over hang at night then pops out during the day. Seems to like that spot.
I'd take a picture, but it never looks right. I need to get a good filter for my phone. It's an iridescent pink color with green. It does seem to have a bit more color than when it first arrived, but like I mentioned, it was listed as a very light colored anemone.
