About a week ago I got a GBTA. After a battle with HA last year I lost most of my corals and recentlylost two fish ( one jumper and one to an mp10 ) so the tank has been pretty empty. Just a lonely clown and some zoa frags. Anyway the tank has been up a year in a few days and all my levels remain very stable. Temp moves less than a degree from night to day but stays put at or just under 80F. Numbers are
Ammo 0
Trites 0
Trates <10 best the kit can tell me
Ph 8
Alk 8.4 dkh
Cal 440
Mg 1450

Anyway, the thing stayed almost right where I put it until last night, cause I wake up this morning and its on the glass next to the mp10. So glad I covered the wet side in old pantyhose. So I'm wondering should I let it do its thing, move it back to the rocks? Any way to encourage it to do what I want? I moved the mp10 to the other side of the tank pointed right at it hoping it'll get going. Any ideas guys?

Should also mention I was going to do a WC this morning but its high enough on the glass ill be limited in the amount I can do, and I don't want to expose it.

It's really hard to get them to go exactly where you want. If they do settle in a place that's really inconvenient or dangerous, the powerhead trick will usually make them uncomfortable enough to move. If it stays put, you should be able to pull it off the glass and set it in a place that's better. When they move, they're not happy for some reason- but oftentimes they will find a different happy place when given another opportunity.

Thanks, I hope so. I'll give it sometime today as I have some family stuff going on, but I might bully it somewhere else this evening if it wants to stay there.

Well I'm home and it's still there. Looks really comfortable too. Now to decide whether to move it when I do my WC tonight or let it ride.

Well it was just all shriveled up taking a dump so I rearranged my rock into an ugly pile giving it more crevices for its foot and moved it off the glass. Wish me, and it some luck.

Keep us posted.

Not much to tell, it moved a few inches from where I put it and has stayed put so far. I just can't figure this thing out, one minute it's shriveled and the next it's puffy. I take one look and it looks to have its mouth open and five minutes later its puckered up. It did eat yesterday. I'd like it to hang around, it's really nice when it's big and inflated. Thing stresses me out, **** fish tank.
