My is becoming full of red mushrooms. Actually looks pretty cool. My gigas clam is 7 to 8 inches. Starting rebuilding my big tank and am bleaching over 450lbs of old rock.

Best place to get a clam from? I see algaebarn.com has some different ones. They were good for some macros I bought.

I’m in Rochester, but I have a fish-only tank :)

Edit: Actually, I’m technically just outside city limits. I still go to the petco(s) for most of my supplies, though. Sometimes I head to Northfield or the cities if I can’t find what I need.

Anyone local interested in a gold bar apex unit? No probes, Just the unit. I upgraded to a 2016, but this one still works fine.

Never realized there was a Rochester section before on R2R. Anyone local got any coral available, mainly looking for softies or lps right now?

Im new to Rochester and wondering if their is any current reefers in the area! I just set up my tank and am looking for some coraline algae from an established tank if someone has some scrapings :)

Hi I just bought out a 240G reef yesterday. I kept most of the fish and a few coral but would like to unload the rest cheap. Lots of zoes, polys. Mushrooms. BTA. 2clowns, coral beauty. Like 200 lbs of rock most with corals. Local pick, cash. 1/2 hour south of la crosse. $20 for each item.

Is there any local reefer close to Rochester? Looking for some people to talk to and look at tanks and general reef stuff since it seems most everything and everyone is in Minneapolis.

I am from Rochester

I am in the process of starting a marine store here in town. I just met with a whole sale guy two days ago and will be looking for a shop here soon.

Still got this.

Wow, that would be great! It's been way too long since Rochester had a real fish store.

Right! This start up is taking time. I got some money invested in this now.. I work at Ford, they pay decent so it’s all about saving money. Not trying to take out a huge loan ya know? If you need anything in the mean time let me know.

Bradyrollie4, I have an old 360 gallon acrylic aquarium that I am replacing. It's 3/4" thick, and 6'x4'x2'. I'm replacing it because a couple of the seams looked iffy to me. No leaks or anything, just makes me a little nervous. I don't want to deal with the headache of reinforcing them so I can sleep at night, so I'm just replacing it. I'm confident the seams could be reinforced with some acrylic and weld-on, but again, I just don't want to deal with that, nor do I have time to deal with all that.

Anyway, I was thinking it might actually work well for your fish store. I'd recommend reinforcing the seams, but after that it would make a great display tank, or a backroom tank/sump. I'll give it to you for free if you want it. Let me know what you think!

If he passes on it, I’d be interested in it.

I currently have it listed for sale locally for $200 OBO. I was offering it up to Bradly for free to help with his fish store. I haven't heard from Bradly, so if you want to make an offer let me know. Otherwise I can keep you in mind for down the road if no one makes an offer on it.

Found where you have it listed, any chance you can send me a few photos of the tank and the seams?

The tank is drained now, but here is a picture I took when it had water. I will try to get a picture of the seams tomorrow. I fell behind on cleaning the acrylic, so algae is covering a lot of it now. However, the acrylic itself is in good shape as far as scratches go.
