I purchased 100 lbs live rock, several pieces have coral on them. All coral except this pictured one are standing tall and doing good. The one in the pictures is laying down. Is it dying? What is it?

Thats a kenya tree leather. The larger unhappy one looks unhealthy. Going by the stalks tissue. The smaller one looks great. Dont worry too much unless you see tissue loss.

I've learned not to get too stressed about Kenya trees when they look like this. They tend to go through phases, especially when stressed or transported.

Keep an eye on the overall tissue and if it lasts longer than a week then I'd start to get worried.

Ok thank you. The guy broke his 300 down and had all the rock and coral in a tub under light and pumps. Said these 2 were actually growing on the side of the rock. So I figured between his breakdown and then transfer to my tank then me trying to get it to grow straight up instead of from the side, was a little more stress than they needed. Hoping for the best.
