I bought a Rock Anemone two days ago and I'm concerned. He had a brown strings tentacle hanging off of him but can't find it now. It seems to be swollen and stuck on its side. Should I be concerned? Or should I allow it a few more days? All water parameters are normal for a reef tank and one hour acclimation with water drip.

Looks like hes getting ready to move. Hopefully they didnt injure his foot when removing him.

How old is the tank? And what are your “normal” reef tank parameters. Everyone has different guidelines. Also what kind of lighting are you giving it? Perhaps someone can help make him happier. And welcome to R2R?

The light looks pretty bright. They don't like bright light or strong direct flow. He looks a little bleached as well. I'd move him to a shadier spot or dim the light. Maybe put him on some rubble in a bowl to protect him from the flow until he has a chance to attach too.

Welcome to R2R and cheering for your anemone!

@OrionN - thoughts?
