So I have a problem its a good problem but need some advice.Recently the rock anemones in my tank had babies. My problem is that it happened in my display tank instead of in my frag tank where I was trying to make it happen. Now I have about a ten babies all over my tank including a couple in areas where I dont really want them almost all of them are settled on my rock work where they are going to be securely attached. I also have one in the middle of a zoa colony.Any helpfull ideas out there. Dont really want my mixed reef to be overloaded with one species.

If it were me, I'd try the ice cube trick. Make some rodi cubes, get it to close up and then rub the ice cube on its foot till it releases. Works better out of water but I'm sure would work under water too.

Ive tried this before with limited success and these little ones have their feet in holes in the rock the biggest right now is about the size of a nickel so not much to get at .The one thats in the middle of my Rasta colony might have to have Kalk paste put on it before it gets big enough to start crowding the colony out or I might have to saw that rock apart.

I just moved 9 of them yesterday from a temp frag tank to a new tank. I always take an MJ1200 pump that came with the BRS GFO reactor and attach some silicon tubing to the output side and point it at them. Some release sooner than others...most take a couple of minutes but they'll eventually let go.

Thanks I will have to try that. Thats the kind of idea that I need.
