Are these guys tough to keep?

Tank is 7 months old. I grow lps and softies well but kill acros.

I want to have an anemone but I'm nervous. I can get rock anemones pretty easily

Haven't had them personally, but they seem to be bulletproof. I've read they have a bigger punch than RBTA & seem more likely to eat a fish. But I think all rock flowers vary on that.

Research first. They are NPS therefore require feeding. Slightly more effort involved with them. I unfortunately bought 3 before realizing that fact and watched them wither away. Probably because I didn't feed enough. I have 2 now, but its not easy to feed them between fish, and shrimp and crab thieves.

I spot feed coral. How often do they need to eat?

This is just not true. They just like bta have a symbiotic relationship with photosynthetic zooxanthellae. That being established they can be spot fed and this could be beneficial but not necessary. I have probably 30 in my biocube because they spawned (dont ask how i dont know I've tried everything to replicate it). And I never spot feed them.

That being said they are awesome easy and beautiful. No matter what people say they do/can move but generally dont once they're happy.

I say go for it. Grab a couple you wontw regret it

Do they like a lot of light? Will my clowns like it? I had heard wait a year for a bubble tip, is that the case here as well?

I havent had a problem with mine and I added them right around the 6 month mark along with a bubble tip. I currently have 4 RFAs that have grown alot! my bta has also split. feed them LRS around 3 times a week

Each is different. I have some super low light 100 or less par and one pretty high light 300par.... Overall id say low to medium. Clowns will not host. If you have a sickly fish or shrimp and it gets too close the nem will eat or at least attempt to. Flower nems don't seem to be as picky about established vs not. Id suggest if coral is doing well you're ready for a flower nem.

I have 5 rock flower nems that came from kush corals. just beautiful. kush does not feed theirs. I spot feed mine about once a week. I keep mine about middle of the tank under a low setting on leds

I've got 9 of them...never feed them and like any other nem they'll move around till they find a spot they like. Luckily I've never seen them just release and float around like a BTA will do and get sucked into a powerhead. If they pick a spot I don't like I just take a cobalt mj pump and point it at them...usually takes about 5 min and they'll release and I move them where I want them and see if they'll stay...most times they do.

Well, lps and softies do wonderful and sps last 1-2 weeks and then they die.

I bought one as a crap shoot and it came on a decent size rock so I put it at the bottom near the front with low flow. At first I didn't feed it, but then I saw it grab a chunk of meaty food and watched it mouth open up like it was gonna whistle a tune ;Jawdrop and it curled up shoving that meat down its pie hole! Was awesome so I feed 2 times a week for the past 4-5 weeks and it I could actually see that it has grown a bit. Could be a coincidence, but I can see that it is better color and active with the direct feeding. The first pic is an old pic when I first got it (6-7 months ago), the second pic is now, it covers that entire side of the rock.
