Rock Beauty and Sponges

Who here has kept a rock beauty angelfish for a long period of time and has it thriving without sponges?

I have seen them kept without sponges to eat. While part of their diet in the wild, a varied diet will provide all their nutritional needs.

I kept one for 6 yrs, plenty of live rock and a variety of food and it should be fine. Mine was 100% reef safe fwiw
