I just purchased a rock beauty angelfish this past Tuesday and she is in great shape, eating everything I offer. I was wondering if anyone has one of these fish and are they really as difficult as most websites make them out to me. Most of the sites have old information some dated back as far as 2003, any new age info would be great. Because mine seems to be very hardy.

they are beautiful fish, but everything I have read says they are one of the hardest angels to keep. most look healthy and after a month or so they just crap out. hope you have good luck with your fish.

I've been on multiple websites including liveaquaria.com and it's up in the air some say difficult some say moderate some say easy, don't know what to believe. ???

I'll guess I'll just have to do my best with her, l love this fish,I'm gonna pray that she stays up to par.

well, at this point give it a few months and let us know if its difficult or not. Best of luck

Keeping the water quality pristine and meeting her nutritional needs is all you need do to be successful.
Enjoy!

I read somewhere, can't remember exactly where, that most people who have the larger angels won't eat sponge and are do fine on pellets, flakes and frozen foods.
