Rock Cure Plan

I was able to get about 75lbs of dry Pukani rock. I was planning on scrubbing it and tossing it in my mixing barrel for a couple months. I was wondering if it would be helpful to toss a couple rocks into the main system to help my protein skimmer break in.

Anything else I’m not thinking of. I’d prefer not to use bleach, so would rather just take my time and let the rock cook.

What are you trying to accomplish? you trying to clean them, or cycle them?

I just want to clean it, but I figure once I get the bulk of organic off, I can jump start the cycle a bit.
