This RFA moved today and there is a small piece left at its previous spot. Does anyone know what might have happened?

I have only had it a few days and it’s my first one ever... I was just worried it was dying.

I had something similar happen, turns out there way a small hole in the rock and it was coming out of both ends. Ive researched and no reports of splitting

Heres mine when i thought it split. It moved and was clear it was still 1 anemone. 20180607_194729.jpg

It looks like their may be a hole and a part of yours is out the other side. If it did somehow get cut then it's likely to get infected, this species does not tolerate cutting or wounds like that very well (cutting, not at all). Epicystis crucifer/Phymanthus crucifer do not reproduce by splitting, so I think there's a hole in the rock it moved over.
