So I purchased a really nice looking Rock Flower Anemone a few months ago. I placed it in the sand in my 125g mixed reef rank. It was doing fine for about a week, moved around a bit, then one morning I could not find it. What has been your experience with these? My parameters are stable and I have no problems keeping softies and lps..LEDs over tank not very high par

Stock list:
2 ocellaris clowns
Blue tail damsel
Azure damsel
Coral beauty
Yellow tang
Coral banded shrimp

I really want to keep these and even get them to breed at some point, but this is not a good start!..haven't seen it in a couple months..doing tank move soon hoping to find it.

I had this happen to me once and it was still in the same spot but moved under the rock a bit in a little cave. He came back out when he was done exploring.

The last time you saw him was it fluffy and full or was it shrinking (stress)?

Do you have an overflow? I had one squeeze through the weirs on the bottom once...

I had one vanish last night. This morning found it half way up the rock. :/ I searched everywhere last night amd felt silly when it was right there

It was fluffy and looked healthy, like when an acan is nice and puffed out..it was showing colors nicely and I acclimated it like any fish or coral I get..I hope to find it in a cave like u said, I will be transferring my rocks soon so I will keep this tip it mind thanks

That's what I am hoping, it will just show up in an obvious spot one day, but it has been a couple months

I do not have an overflow on this tank, but it is helpful to know that they can squeeze into tight spots like this thanks
