We just saw our rock flower anemone eat a bristle worm. Is that possible? Are we delusional.

This anemone has eaten a whole fish before.

Whaaaaaaat?!? I wanna stock up on a couple of those! They eat fish now?! Healthy fish or fish that were already on their way out??

Healthy fish. It’s really sad. That one can take in a good sized wrasse (our 6 Line Wrasse who was with us for 4 years and was very active and healthy). This anemone is probably more than 6 inches in diameter and the mouth is pretty big, 1.5 or 2 inches.

Do you know if they eat bristle worms?! We just saw it happen. But we can’t believe our eyes!

They are gorgeous things but they are demons!

But if they can eat my bristle worms I’m down with that!

That thing can catch and eat six line wrasses?! Shouldn't you be giving that thing like an award or something for taking out that ****** before it took out any fish?

If only it cruised around and ate aiptasia and Veemetid snails.

Ohhh honey you are speaking my language and singing my song.

We recently had some hitch hiker anemones. spring up in our cycled QT tank. We didn’t kill them because we didn’t need the QT. Then we had a small pajama cardinal in our main display that was looking beat up so we moved it to the QT tank to recover. But within minutes one of those hitch hiker anemones grabbed it and ate it! Didn’t even look big enough to do it but the fish was weak and couldn’t fight.

So we used some aptasia X after that.
