Hi guys! So my boyfriend got this beautiful RFA and it seemed to be doing fine the first couple days. And then all of a sudden after he fed it, it began to to ball up and completely close up. And now it’s doing some weird thing. Can anyone give me advice on what’s going on? He’s been like this for two days

The picture of it more open was yesterday
The picture of him closed completely is today

Water parameters?

How old is the tank, and what was it started with? Live rock, dry?

What and how much was it fed?

Are you using RODI water, distilled water, or something else?

We also have two other RFA in the tank, one we’ve had for about a month, the other for about 3 months

Water levels are usually perfect, but I’ll have to take it tomorrow to get it checked.
The tanks about 6 months old and we started with live rock and sand.
It was only given a few tiny shrimp and phytoplankton were put into the tank I believe (I wasn’t home when they were fed).
We get all the water straight from the aquarium store.

We originally bought the tank from someone who had it already set up with live rock and fish.

You should probably have test kits on hand for emergency testing situations. Though we can try to guess; take a look at the rest of the coral-type creatures in the tank, see if anything else looks distressed.

That's an odd position for it to be in, all flopped over. Hopefully it's just moving around.

All the other coral and the other two RFA are doing well, it’s just this one guy
