29.6gallon water box with AI Prime light. Everyone wants to duplicate the Coral Lab AB+, but I'm not sure if that is best for a tank that will be RFA & Ricordea. No SPS. Any thoughts on optimal light settings?

Mike, IMHO the colorful RFA's come from 30 to 50 feet deep so they don't get much light and what they do get is blue. They do tolerate white light OK, so it's not a big deal. But I don't think they do a lot of photosynthesis. The plain jane RFA's come from shallow water and do get a lot of light and do photosynthesis quite well.

I don't think ricordea are all that fussy about light either. Blue is probably more important for photosynthesis. But if they aren't all that fluorescent, you'll want white in there as well so the show well.

I run lots of blue for 9+ hours and a medium amount of white for 4 to 8 hours with a stable 4 hours of peak midday. But I have Photon V2+ fixture and a 2nd all blue fixture over my 40g cube.

I run the coral lab lps settings on my nem cube and they all seem really happy.

I run the ai prime also over my rock nem tank. Set 60% blues and purples, 8% green and red, and 25% white at peak (5 hours) then 5% for the rest of the time.

Can you post a picture of your rock nems. We would love to see it.
