Rock Flower anemone spawning?

As my lights were going down tonight I noticed one of my two RF anemones balled up. I'd never seen it do this before and was worried something was wrong. When I investigated it was spewing out white liquid that looked almost like smoke. It would relax for a while then ball up and spew out another round of the stuff.

Is this a spawning event? Any chance it doing that will stimulate the other one to spawn?

That was a male. Normally only 1 will relies at a time. Female receiving. From water

So I have a 50/50 chance of the other one being female? Would be cool to see some babies between the two different colors.

Nice flowers! It's possible but must have a female. Then still no guarantee. Good luck!

Terri_ann's right - about their reproduction and about the niceness of those rock-flowers!

I found out that I've got a pair last night, when I spotted a baby 'nem between them. Not as nice looking as your two though!

Is there any way to sex nemes? I do plan to add a couple of more which would certainly increase the chance of having a female.

Thanks for sharing! As was stated yes the one was a male. Pretty much the only way to sex them is if the other one releases young in a few months it's a female. Also a fun note on coloration from my experiences, it's totally random. Colors won't actually develop from the traits of the two parents so you could get some other crazy patterns or colors too.
