Rock flower anemone with long darnk string

Anybody knows the reason to it?
Sorry for the bad photo.

This string is coming out of its mouth regularly. Hermit crabs like to eat and sometimes they stop by and start eating straight out of the anemone.

This string is coming out of its mouth regularly. Hermit crabs like to eat and sometimes they stop by and start eating straight out of the anemone.

Looks like its expelling zooxanthellae which is its energy and color source and may signify light is not bright enough needed for anemone cells and reproduction. Temperature too warm will also cause this

Temp should be fine.

Lights are the same since forever..

Corals poop??????!!!!!!

I'm new to rock flowers... but it seems too.

It shrinked a lot until expell the string. Now it's back in original shape. Very colorful btw.

Most LPS with a mouth, and anemones will defecate if fed.

Theres a thread kicking around somewhere of coral poops.
