I accidentally dropped a couple of Spectrum AlgaeMax Wafers on the anemone and little surprising I got an immediate and vigorous feeding response. Five minutes later and they were both consumed. Give the high protein content it’s not too surprising but wonder if anyone else had a similar experience.

I have not been feeding it very frequently as I have not gotten much of a response with mysis shrimp. I had noticed one morning the end of a bristle worm hanging out of its mouth. I assumed it was feeding on them regularly.

Flower anemones typically eat passing copepods, amphipods, and any food stuff that moves across the tentacles. I broadcast feed mine with plankton when doing regular feedings. I target feed them about a month before fall and spring equinox for extra spawning energy.

If it doesn't like the wafer. It will spit it out.

Interesting. Would something like Reef Chili work for broadcast feeding?

I would turn off your pumps and target feed the chili. They like finely chopped meaty offerings for the bigger ones.

I broadcast the plankton because my fish also eat it.
