I have my eye on a few really pretty rock flower anemones. Can someone tell me their experience with them? How does one acclimate them and how does one know where to place them? How difficult are they to keep? Thanks for any help you can give me.

They are fairly easy to keep. I’ve never done much for acclimation. I just set them down in a low flow area on the rock or location I want them. They attach fairly quick.

Come read over and join the discussion about RFA's (Rock Flower Anemones) at R2R on this thread:

It should answer all your questions and if it doesn't... PLEASE ask and we'll try to help out. Quite a few people who have had very good luck with keeping and even having them spawn and raise the baby RFA's in their tank. So there is lots of help.

(btw, thanks for the plug Katrina71!)

I just purchased my first and so far im a little worried. I floated for an hour or so as per lfs. Then shut flow off and placed it where I wouldve like it. About an hour later I put my return pump back on and he was on the sandbed in a minute or two.

Tried again a few times and as of now he is on the bed half under a rock. Still colorful so hoping thats just the spot he likes. Well see

Good luck with yours

Ill have to check out the link above too
