Rock flower foot attachment

I recently got some very pretty very healthy rock flower anemones 5 to be exact last weekend..i hate all of there placement except #4 and 1 isnt bad...#2 is the one im really concerned about its not on a rock jus in the sand and its so far down it seems to have sand in its mouth all the time..that cant be good right? Today i stuck the tweezers down bout half a inch away to see if it was jus in the sand or attached..once i started to slowly scoot the tweezers closer across the bottom of the glass it started to close up so it makes me think its attached to the glass..but theres atleast a inch of sand in the front of the tank where they are..#2 is actually a lil bigger than #4 but is always half closed #3 and 5 are actually the biggest but cant tell the way they are crammed in-between the rocks..i kno it'll move if it needs too but my question is there a way to detach or encourage detachment without tearing..will pointing flow at them or downing the lights make the move?? any advice/tips would be great thanks

I like to use the edge of a credit card to lift the foot but the ones that are footed inside the rock crevaces, you are SOL.

I may have to try him with a credit card if he don't move because now my blue lights have been on longer he's completely sucked into the sand..I don't mind the others so much cuz I want a whole lot more but jus wish you could see them more cuz they are the biggest

Its gonna move where it wants even after you try to coax it off the rocks or glass.

That's ok..its just the sand I'm really worried about its in #2s mouth and sucked completely in under the sand..that was last night..this morning he's poked out some..some of the sand is out of his mouth..I don't understand why he hasn't moved he can't like all that sand in his mouth all the time right?

I've had some which stayed under sand for weeks, some moved on their own, and some I had to move. I've had others crawl under a rock and stay there until they start dying and I have to move the rock for them to get light.

They are not very smart. But don't worry yet, they can live for several weeks without light.

If you can get it off the bottom glass, you can get some 1" pvc caps and put sand in it and then move the RFA to the inside of the cap. Then you can move it around and it will not move out of the cap.

Thanks..im going to give him a lil while longer to move on his own if he don't then im going to use MAHs tip with the pvc cap ends

As other mentioned they move where they want but also have no problem on the sand either.

I'm going to try that if I can get him off..does their foot ever grow to big for the 1 inch pvc cap?

I haven't seen it happen, not to say it can't. But my largest RFA, which is in a natural rock crevice, and has a diameter of ~5-inches, is in a hole that's 1/2-3/4" and at least 2-3 inches deep.

In case you were wondering about RFA foot size, diameter of a quarter maybe little bigger.
