Rock flower nem attacked, should I medicate?

My new rock flower that I got a couple weeks ago looks like it was attacked by something during the night. It's missing about a 1/4 of its tentacles and part of the flesh in the center. It's still open and it took a small piece of mysis but I'm worried about it getting an infection. Should I wait and see if it can recover on its own or would it be better to go ahead and remove for treatment? If so what medicine would be best to treat it with? I can't get any pictures right now because the tank lights aren't on yet and I'm about to head off to work.

If it's eating I would leave it alone, as to not stress it out more, and just keep a close eye on it. Definitely go nocturnal tonight though, maybe catch the culprit!

Update: not good. When I left this morning the anemone was still open but he was completely curled up when I got home. My sisters confirmed that it was still open a couple hours ago. I thought maybe something just bumped it but it still hasn't opened up after 40 minutes of watching. Is there anything I can do for it, or do I just have to let nature take its course? I haven't found the culprit yet, I put a jar out last night with some krill but no takers. Although I imagine the attacker is going to be full for a couple days :mad:.

I lost a RFA in similar fashion. Give it some time. it will either make it or not. Don't move it. that will only stress it more. maybe squirt a little Mysis on it

Sometimes they deflate to exchange the water inside. Don't panic. These guys are dramatic, or like the weather in Florida, they can change appearance in minutes.

Yeah, one minute they look good and in morning before lights on, they shrink up and look horrible. Sometimes they excrete and look horrible.then 10 minutes later fine.
Now also fwiw, I had some peppermint shrimp which were harrassing and picking at my rfas at night. So be aware it can be a a fish, invert , not just conditions.

Update: looks like he's trying to heal up. It's opened up again and has moved into a dark cubby. It's super pale though, lost a lot of color. The side against the sand is where the damage is.

Can't really treat it with anything except natural stuff like revive. But I'd leave it alone and see if it bounces back because first you'd have to take that whole rock out or try to take it off the rock without reaping the foot. What you should really do is stand in front of the tank with a flash light at night and see what critter could have done it. Try to feed it something small like Mysis or small piece of silver side to see if it eats, if it does then it'll most likely come back slowly, that's if what did it doesn't finish the job.

I fed it a piece of mysis yesterday and it ate, although it took a while. I'm going to see if it will take another one tonight. I've been trying for days to catch whatever attacked it and haven't had any luck as of yet.

Update, I don't think it's going to make it

. It's been hanging in there for a couple weeks but has gotten increasingly smaller. Now today it's taken a sudden turn for the worse.

Never did figure out what attacked it.

If you want to try to save it place up on corner of the tank in med flow in acrylic nursery and spread solution. Of water of the tank 5 ml one drop of amino and few grain of zooplankton. Start when it go better
