Rock Flower nems and BTA's

I have a 37g with Bubble tips and rock flowers. So far so good for 8 months. The flowers move if the btas get to close. 20180816_140139.jpg

I can say from experience that a BTA will sting a RFA to death. It took over a month to kill it, but it did. Why the RFA didn't move is beyond me...

I have RBTA, RFA, Maxi-mini, Curly-Q, Sand anemones and a new one I just collected off the beach. So far everybody seems to find their own space. My RFA seem to like being attached to the rocks at the edge of the sand (some of the babies are in the rocks). RBTA seem to like being higher in the rocks. Maxi-mini seem to go anywhere and have no issues. The Curly-Q is still very small and the Sand anemones are not photosynthetic so they went under my egg crate platform. The new nem hasn't been identified yet, but I'm 99% sure it's now photosynthetic either. It was rescued off the beach at low tide on Sanibel Island along with a cute sea hare hiding in a clump of green macroalgae on the beach (most algae that washs up is dead brown).

So my wife is now asking when the rock nems have little ones do they look like the one that gave birth (or whatever it's called in the land of nems) or will they take on characteristics of whatever male was in the area that done it's thing, take on traits of both or will they just randomly be different? :D

Ya, I know it's a weird question, but those kind of questions are the most fun to answer...in a weird kind of way. o_O

I keep maxi's, RF, and BTA's, and I know Bornemans may or may not be RF but they look very different so I add them to this list separately lol The maxi's have their own rock, the RF stay low on the rocks, the BTAs are on top of their own rock, and the Bornemans are in the middle of the rockwork. No one intermingles much, the Bornemans get really close to the BTAs but never any issues.

Sorry to be ignorant, but what are Bornemans?

Wow! I've never hear of these anemones, let alone seen one anywhere. Does anybody have one in their tank? Or has anybody seen good scientific data about them?

I guess I have some research to do!
I have heard of them but never seen one anywhere. If nobody can show pics of some in their tanks I'm going to put them in the unicorn and leprechaun category. :D

Show us some pics!

Yep, fish and reef is where I got mine from. As promised...sorry, not a unicorn but close! 20181107_124717.jpg
Thanks for sharing the pic!

Would you recommend fishnreef?

I like some of their frag packs and deals. And regular pricing is pretty good too.

Thanks in advance @Leslie Tabor
